does anybody make grips for the ruger single six that actually change the feel of the gun? my brother has one, it is a great little gun, but it does not fit my hand very well. he has offered to sell it to me in the past, but because of how uncomfortable it is, i have told him no. when i grab it, the barrel sits way downward and to the left until i reposition my grip. it needs to have more "meat" in the backstrap area. the curve of the handle is way to tight for me, as are all of the cowboy style griped revovlers that i have held. does somebody make a different grip for this, or should i just forget about it. at this point, he isnt interested in selling it, but next time he needs money, i want to be ready with an answer.

Most of the major grip manufacturers offer grips for these. You can often find used ones on EBay.

Herrett's makes them, Ajax, Eagle Grips, Pachmayr, etc.

Buy the gun and start shooting it as a general rule the grip frame of the Single Six is well made and will fit most hands. As you come across them experiment with different grips. These are good solid .22s and a lot of fun.

You may want to ask here as well... www.rugerforum.com
