I have a bullet mold that I am having a slight problem with. It is a brass NOE 4 cavity dropping a 148 gr HBWC for .38 special. My problem is that the bullets will not come off of the pin for the hollow base. I mean they stick. It takes pliers and a pretty good tuck to get them off. How to I get these to release properly? I have smoked them. I have used the molds several times and they are just as stubborn now as when they were new. I have some MP molds with pins and after I used them a couple of times they work just fine. What do I need to do?

My take would also be to polish the pins first.
Make sure to polish all of them the same amount (have a pal time you?)
if the bullets weights are close between the cavities.

A suspended graphite solution - I use the old NEI mold prep on stubborn mold blocks - properly
applied to the pins might help as well.

Hotter and cleaner. Spray out with brake cleaner and run hot. I like frosty bullets, but I know some folks don't.
