I'd like to know what experience others have had with installing sling swivels. Uncle Mike's has a "Push-Button Detachable" swivel, but because the base for it is a little larger than the regular screw-in type, it apparently glues it into place instead of screwing in. UM also has something called a "QD Super Swivel with Tri-Lock", and they make something they call a "Ruger-Auto Single Shot Carbine" swivel (I don't undersand the "single shot" part).

I like the idea of a push button detachable swivel, but I don't want to sacrifice durability. I'd like for someone to recommend the best type/make of swivel for my sporterized (wood stock) M1 carbine.

Adapter fits in gap in barrel bands of 10/22, .44 Mag Carbine, and No. 3 Single-Shot carbine.

I think with the thin forearm wood around the gas system on an M1 Carbine?
I'd go with the 115B set. Screw rear and Bolt & inleted Nut front.

Combine those with the QD Super Swivel with Tri-Lock.

The "Tri-Lock" just means the push button on the swivels screw down tight so the buttons can't be accidentally pushed when carrying on the sling, dropping the rifle in the mud or rocks.

They are a major improvement over the old kind that didn't lock in place in the studs.
BTDT!!
