Does anyone here have any experience with the S&W model 1 1/2 in 32 S&W? How long do you think one of these would hold up to light loads of Trail Boss. Is the steel in these guns soft? Any input about these guns would be appreciated.

.22 rf

Had one a LONG time ago in .22 RF short and was told that the fact that I fired standard velocity .22 shorts in it ==== AND did not blow it up was a 'moment' for me.

Thats my input.

The 1 1/2 Single Action is a top break SA revolver in .32 S&W CF, not to be confused (sure!) with the older Model 1 1/2 tip up which was made only in .32 RF.

While some folks get very perturbed about firing modern ammo in those guns, I have done so with no problems, though I would not suggest firing them more than a few shots. They are not soft and were much better made than most of the break top guns of that era, but production stopped in 1892, so they are not exactly new guns.
