Smith & Wesson revolver

I have a Smith & Wesson revolver that I would like to get some information on, so that I can find a holster for it. The barrel is stamped 32 long ctg. It is in very good condition. I would also like to find the value of this revolver. It has the numbers 82492 on both the hinge and the frame where the hinges closes. It has rounded a butt with wood grips. The serial number on the bottom of the butt and on the cylinder is 599882. What model is this?

Welcome to THR.

A picture would really go a long way to helping ID your revolver. And measure the barrel length from the forcing cone (where the cylinder butts up to the barrel) to the end of the barrel.

Wrong forum, but since we are here, the gun post-WWI, either a .32 Hand Ejector (round butt) or Regulation Police (square butt).

They are nice little guns; the frame is the same size as the J-frame, but shorter. The number on the crane and under it is the assembly number; the 599xxx is the serial number. The gun was made between 1946 and 1957, when it became the Model 30.

The Blue Book value in 90% condition is about $400; tops in new condition is around $600+.
