Some of you may have noticed a thread I started a few days ago regarding trying to find 38 S&W bullets for reloading.

Well at this time, I've just about given up so the next step is to load bullets that have lube on them for smokeless. I would like to hear from those of you who have done this and can tell me why I either DON'T want to do this or why it doesn't matter. And if it does matter and that's all I can get my hands on what's the easiest way to get that lube off the bullets.

I'm itching to shoot this little H&R that belonged to my grandpa but the last thing I want to do is load smokeless in it. Cartridges designed in 1876 should be loaded as designed!!

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
