I've started working in a machine shop & I am allowed to work on my own projects once in awhile, I remember a thread here on thr (that I can't find) that mentioned it's legal to manufacture your own class three, is this true?
I know it's ok to make your own semi auto but where do I get plans (blue prints?)

Has anyone done this too?
I've looked at KT but they have a confusing web site... thanks!

Go to cncgunsmithing.com he has solid models, blue prints and cad stuff as well. He develops the information for his own projects so he only has a few sets of information.

class three, or title two, or whatever it'll be called in the future, is not legal. Do a search, you'll find dozens of threads on people asking the same questions. For personal use, anything else is fine, though other NFA items need paperwork.

Build a full auto, supressor, destructive device, or sbr without a S.O.T, and you will find yourself with a new boyfriend in a fedral resort club. It is legal to manufacture your own firearms provided.

1.) The firearm is for personal use. You may never sell or transfer it.

2.) You are legally able to own a firearm. ( not a felon, drug user, mental patient)

3.) Said firearm manufactured meets all legal requirements in your area, as well as federal requirements. So no building AK's in California, Pistols in Chicago, or silencers, sbr's, and full autos period.

Disclaimer: I am not a legal expert of any sort. Please consult a legal expert in this area before constructing anything.

This thread, like all "how do I make a machine gun", or "how do I convert XYZ to full auto" threads is done, as we do not discuss unlawful activities on THR.

Yes, there are some _very_ narrow circumstances under which these activities are lawful, but since the chances of that being the case is remote, we're not going there.
