Hi, HighRoaders. I ran a lot of FMJ's through my Beretta 92FS today (Federal American Eagles and Sellier & Bellot). I did pretty well at 75 feet- the shortest distance at this range. I then started shooting Federal 124 gr. Hydra-Shoks. Wow. What a difference. The groups tightened up significantly. My experienced handgunner friend was impressed, as was I! This presents a problem, however. I know that many guns are ammo sensitive, although I don't think the 92 series is. It's just that I don't want to shoot only Hydra-Shoks. That gets to be pretty expensive. Any suggestions as to a hardball ammo that might give me tighter groups in the Beretta? Thanks for your help.

Chuck;
Your situation is exactly why people take up handloading. 900F

Chuck, it's probably not sensitive as much as JHPs simply shoot better than ball. Higher tolerances, better QC and the center of gravity being a bit farther back all seem to help.

I'd play with different loads and think hard about reloading. :)

FACT OF LIFE; INARGUABLE

Start at the bottom of the price ladder and work upward in price until you reach your desired level of performance.

All guns are unique; all guns may prefer something different; all guns require testing.
There are only accurate guns............
