Something old but yet new!

I 'm getting a new rifle after the first of the year. It's going to be a 308 BA in a mossberg 100ATR. I see alot of threads about other calbers, but not so much on the 308. I guess the magnums have stole a lot of thunder. I've looked at the ballistics on the 30-06, 270 and the 308. For my uses I think that I'm going to get a 308! As far as Mossberg, I hear it's a real shooter! Now just have to wait, but that's OK. More info to gather to make my final decision!

I'm totally stoked by the new mossy's, however, with the cost of 308 ammo, and for more variety, i would proly go with the 30.06, and then you could hunt anything in America.
