As far as reproductions go, the 1795 U.S. Springfield is the same as the 1766 Charleville, with different lockplate markings. I have a Navy Arms reproduction, with two complete locks. When I was doing Rev War and War of 1812 reenacting, I would just pop in the appropriate lock to have an authentic weapon for the respective time period. (The M1795 lock is marked "1808" and "U S Springfield" - no eagle. The other one is marked "Charleville.")
The Navy Arms gun was made by Miroku in Japan. No longer made.
I notice that Dixie Gun Works currently has a Pedersoli 1766 Charleville for $1,450. Dixie has the U.S. 1795 variation for $100 more ($1,550). This is not the same as the Navy Arms version. Pay close attention to the presence and arrangement of the band springs. Honestly, I would try to find a used Navy Arms gun.
Cabela's has the Pedersoli 1795 for $1,500. Then there are the Indian reproductions for as low as $560. Avoid these like the plague.
If you're going to use this for reenacting, you're going to need a bayonet. The best Charleville bayonet, by far, that I was able to find was the one sold by G. Gedney Godwin ($63.50). The socket may need some trimming.
