Source for Federal Nyclad .38 Special Load - Please Help

Hello Everyone,

I just discovered that my favorite .38 Special load has been reclassified as a "law enforcement round" by Federal.

It is the classic "FBI Load" which is...

Federal Premium Nyclad 158-grain LSWCHP +P in .38 Special

Federal's Product Code = P38G

Does anyone know of a good source where I could buy some of this load?

Please don't tell me to use a ballistic twin from Winchester or Remington. I strongly prefer the Federal version for quality control reasons and because the Nyclad's plastic coating prevents the soft lead from deforming and rubbing off.

I bought 26 boxes when I heard they were going that way. I looked all over on the internet. Ammoman.com does not carry them. www.natchezss.com was out last I looked. Good luck.

There's always a dealer or 2 that is willing to sell things like these to us lowly peasants. As long as it's not otherwise written into law, ammo declared to be LE only by the ammo manufacturer is perfectly legal to have. I see at least one dealer/show selling new production 9mm Fed +P+ hydrashoks with Law Enforcement Only on the box to anybody willing to fork out the $20 or so for a 50 round box.
