I have read that +P ammo should not be used in the Marlin Camp carbine. And, I have 250 rounds of Spanish 9mm in a green plastic "battle pack". Does anyone know if the Spanish ammo is loaded to +P levels? The battle pack is marked Toledo I.N.I., 250 cartuchos cal. 9mm (parabelum) poliefectos, 1994.

You might try asking your question in the autoloader forum. From everything I've read on the 'net, NATO 9mm is as hot as +P. So basically Santa Barbara 9mm is 124gr +P FMJ.

Thanks, DMK. I will try the other forum. I'm not sure that the ammo that I have is NATO.

I'm not sure about pistol ammo, but NATO rifle ammo has a '+' in a circle headstamp. I'll check my Santa Barbara 38 Special when I get home.

EDIT: Ya, just checked. No NATO markings on the .38 Special round.

Thank you, DMK. I haven't opened the battle pack yet, so I think that I may stay of the safe side and trade it for something elses. Wally World WWB is pretty cheap.

You could definately sell or trade that in unopened battle packs. It's great ammo and good for long term storage.
