I was wondering where you can get a smoothbore 18" barrel for 870 like on the HD or Marine Magnum. When I looked at Remington's website all the short barrels were rifled or for deer hunting. And if you guys have any idea where to find one, how much would it cost? Thanks!

My local Sports Authority store had Mossberg-manufactured Remington 870 replacement barrels in the 18-inch length. This was back in September.
Cabelas (www.cabelas.com) is selling the 18.5" blued cylinder-bore for $89.99.
At the bottom of this page on Mossberg's website they list their barrels for the 870:

I would also check with Brownells (www.brownells.com). I tried to search their site, got too many hits. Probably better to just call them and ask.

Check your local gun shops, especially the ones that cater to police. Many trade-ins and upgrades happen.
Try contacting Centerfire. They were advertising 870 short barrels for either $79 or $89 in Shotgun news a month or so ago.

Maybe someone can help me out as well.
The two barrels shown are the 87001 rifle sight and the 87004 Ghost Ring. Obviously you'd need a rear ghost ring for the 87004 but what would you use for the 87001? Would you just line it up/level it with the flat on the reciever like a bead?

I had a question about that issue myself as I had ordered one of those barrels. You just treat it like a bead and line it up on the receiver. It works pretty good, the tritium is still bright. They are in good shape, a bargain. The Scattergun front sight unit is an even better bargain though!
