I have a GP-100 6" SS. Real nice gun (my first handgun). I bought a Bianchi Accumold holster and belt. I'm thinking about getting into ICORE competitions and looking for recommendations for speedloaders and pouches to hold said speedloaders. I've seached the forum and found safariland vs hks threads, but I am looking for more detail.

Which speedloaders (HKS and SL)will fit the Bianchi pouches? With 38 and 357 ammo?

Should I go with the snap or velcro closure on the pouches (Bianchi has both)?

Or should I go with special competition speedloader holders?

I may also look into getting the chambers chamfered depending how the speedloaders work out.

Thanks for the help!

If this is just for competition, I'd definitely go with open top "competition" holders. My personal preference is BladeTech or Ready Tactical, both of which are IDPA-legal too, if you ever see yourself doing that (Safariland holders aren't IDPA legal, as they don't cover the body of the holder).

As far as speedloaders, most are faster with Safarilands. Again, if this is just for competion, get compIIIs. Personally, I prefer JetLoaders over compIIIs. Just personal preference.

If you're interested in some compIIIs, PM me. I have several (still in the box) that I've never used since i discovered jetloaders.

As far as chamfering the cylinders, it's a nice tweak, and if you're getting an action job done, you might as well have it done. That said, lots of practice doing reloads is most important and will pay the biggest. gains.
