I bought 2 new hand guns and had to go see how they functioned. Well, here's the results. Test firing took place in an indoor range.

1st gun: Springfield Armory- Micro .45 W/ 10 round mag & 3-1/2" tube. I shot 30 rounds from 2 different distances. 15 & 20 feet. The finish on this gun is like a parkerized finish upper and lower. The sights match the finish, matte black with no outline in either front or rear. Used 230 FMJ. Shot pattern was high and right, but not to bad. only 10 were outside the black and then only 1 ring out. This gun is LOUD. People 3 bboths over stoped and came over to see what I had. It isn't as un-pleasant to shoot as my Colt Combat Commander. Recoil is not as bad for some reason. 1st full 10 round mag functioned flawlessly. Every mag after the first one would fail after the 6th shot. It wouldn't feed. Had to drop the mag and pull the slide back. Hopefully this gun just needs a break in period. I am going to William's Gunsight tomorrow and get a set of night sight installed. I see potential.

2nd gun: Bersa FireStorm in .380. Distance of 15 feet. 95 gr. FMJ. 28 rounds all in the black and all in a circumfrence of a little less than 5". Didn't shoot it any more as I was afraid I would get a flier and mess up a pretty target. I didn't have another target with me. No malfunctions. Won't beat you to death to shoot it all day. It's fun. The rear sight is a white outlined "U" and it just falls into alignment with the front blade magically.

My wife didn't like the .45 so that's why I got the .380. It's for her to shoot. After today, I might have to get a new wife. ;)

You're gonna love that little Bersa. I picked one up a couple of weeks ago, very accurate little gun. Hmmmm makes me want to go to the range today. Maybe I'll just pack up and.....
