Springfield sight replacement

I am going to attempt to upgrade/replace my sights on my XD40. Has anyone attempted this?

It is VERY hard to get the original sights off of an XD. If you attempt it I just bet you will wish that you hadn't.

Have a gunsmith do it.I have PSI sights on mine the local gunsmith installed.

i agree have a gun smith do it, i heard they are very tuff to get off, well the front sight that is, and i don't want to do any harm to my favorite gun so i sent mine to the smith to get a set of xs 24/7 sights on my sc and i had sa put on a set of rijicons on my service model.

I found a great article on XDtalk. I think I'll give it a try. I'll post some pictures and let everyone know what the damage is.
