I have recently aquired a .41 mag with a stainless xr-3 grip frame with factory markings. Ruger claims never to have made one. Ruger service says they have never seen one nor heard of one available in aftermarket. I spoke with four people from ruger including a former production manager now in upper management. After sending him picture thru friends computer he said the markings appear to be from the factory. It is not chrome,nickel or polishd aluminum. I have several friends who also collect ruger 3 screws and none have seen or heard of this. It was made the first year blackhawks were offered in 65. serial number 19xx with 4 5/8 barrel. Has anyone seen one or have proof that such animal exist?
