Stabilizing Brace Ban Lawsuit

SAF goes forward opposing the brace ban just published in the Federal Register.

Discussions of the content of the rule or what braces are banned or not are in General or Legal. We're only focused on the lawsuits being filed to stop this being implemented and to have it declared unconstitutional.

Gun Owners of America is also engaging against the new rule:

GOA says they are working with Congress to pass a resolution blocking this rule under the Congressional Review Act, and are continuing to lobby lawmakers to support Rep. Clyde and Sen. Marshall’s Stop Harassing Owners of Rifles Today (SHORT) Act. SHORT stands for Stop Harrassing Owners of Rifles Today, which would remove certain short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and other weapons from the definition of a firearm for purposes of regulation under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The bill also eliminates certain restrictions that apply to the sale or transportation of such rifles and shotguns in interstate commerce.
