Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I'll look Buffalo Arms up, haven't checked them out for along time, but have ordered spec cases from years ago.

Thanks again

jcwit,Glad to help.By the way,Dave Maurer is the one I bought my media kit from years ago. It's the same one Buffalo Arms sells. You can order directly from Dave and he also carries smaller media for smaller cases. You can contact him at 517-669-9801 or [email protected] this helps--Mike.

jcwit,

If your friend shoots out a barrel every year to year and 1/2, he must be running some hot, hot loads thru that thing. I've got a .300 Savage Model 99 my Pop got in 1947, the barrel in that thing is still very good, lands and grooves sharp, still shoots now as good as it did in 1957! No cinders flying down the barrel here either.

What size 5 shot groups are you getting with that 63 year old .300 Savage? How many rounds are through that barrel in the last 63 years?

We're talking Panda bolt action, Kreiger Barreled, 30 rounds thru it 5 days a week all year ecept in the worst of weather. Figer 275 days shooting a year at 30 rds per day, thats 8250 rds per year. He's working with 3 BenchRest rifles at present. Twenty two cal and 6 mm groups get 5/16 or less in size. I wouldn't call the loads HOT but a little over mild.

See why they're shot out.
