Still need my single action...New Vaquero?

I bought a NV .45 4 5/8" in stainless about a year ago because I was so impressed with the looks and balance. It's actually the "replacement" for an 1882 1st generation 5 1/2" nickelled Colt I have had for many years. From a couple of feet away the Ruger is a dead ringer for the old gun, and the feel and balance aren't similar--they're identical. I had an OM Vaquero in the same configuration and it was a much bigger, clunkier gun; didn't much care for it.

The NM's chamber mouths are right on at .4525 and it shoots very well. The Ruger warning paragraph is now well hidden on the very bottom of the barrel near the ejector rod and just about invisible to a casual inspection.

I like the heck out of this gun; and I am hard to please--or so I am told.

I used the old Colt in LEO work a couple of times just for the heck of it, and frankly wouldn't have a problem carrying this new Ruger NV. It's a winner.
