Here are some pics of my m&p .45 that I just heat stippled. I love the way it feels and looks. It really adds an element of customization that in my opinion is also very practical. I have also done my Taurus PT 24/7 .40 and my Bersa .380.

Altho, I prefer my stippling to be horizontal on the front strap.

Hmmm...I didnt really think about going horizontal in the front. Maybe Next time I will give it a shot.

As long as you like it, that is all that matters. Me personally, I think stipling ruins a gun's looks, if polymer guns have looks

looks pretty good, but more important that the way it looks is the way it imroves the grip of the frane, and if you accomplished that that is all that matters. i have thought about sending my glock and xd off to bowie tactical cocepts to get that done. i am just too nervous to do it myself.

I had my M&P done with horizontal "stippling" (really transverse grooves) on the front strap and vertical grooves/stippling on the grip insert. I left the remainder of the frame alone, altho I did paint it red...

Looks good to me. Did you use a soldering iron or what? I like the trigger finger index area too. Seems like a pretty good idea if you're already doing the grip area.

Looks good. I like when folks customize their carry pieces. After all, it's really the most personal weapons we have.

Yeah, I just used a soldering iron with a flat head insert. I have seen Bowie's work and it is great, but I didnt want to spend $100 to get something done that I can basically do myself. As far as ruining the looks of the gun, I dont think so at all. I think it looks good and increases the functionality of the firearm. Plus, I love my m&p and I am not going to sell it. Probably my favorite gun in my collection after I got a few thousand rounds out of it.
