Something learnt every day sure is the truth. I have always had trouble getting a good view through a scope on any of my rifles. Then I read in a magazine an article by a writer testing four different makes of .308s. His conclusion was he would choose the Ruger (example only) as it had the shortest stock. This caught my eye so I started looking at this point and found LOP. I have been looking for scopes with the longest eye relief and the longest tube so that I can move the scope back far enough to see clearly through the scope. I searched high and low for extended rings and this helped. It never dawned on me to look at stock length and LOP. When I checked this I found my stocks had too long an LOP for me, especially with my bad neck. Who would ever cut a wood stock and possibly damage it. So, I took the plunge and I removed 1" from the butt and found it was the answer to all my problems. Now I have perfect vision and a full view through the objective. Yoh.
