I recently picked up an iwb holster from don hume leather. And it's a bit tight any easy ways to stretch a leather holster?? right now if I try to draw the gun the holster comes with it so it needs to be loosened/stretched a little.

You don't want to stretch it much. Do not wet the holster. Take a heavy plastic bag, the one the holster came in works good, and put your gun in it and put it in the holster overnight and see how it is in the morning.

If it isn't stretching enough, wrap the gun in saran wrap before putting in the bag.

The key here is patience, take your time stretchng so that it doesn't get stretched too far, causing a fit problem that can't be corrected very easily.

That is how I have stretched all the holsters that I have had to stretch.

Place the gun in a plastic bag, insert it in the holster and let it sit overnight.
Repeat as necessary.

I recommend using a thin plastic bag: yes, holsters do shrink slightly with age, but I've never heard of a good method for shrinking slightly over-stretched holsters evenly.

Everybody posting so far pretty much hit the nail on the head. If you are a little impatient, you can also wrap one layer of waxed paper around the pistol and holster it, then draw it about a dozen times. If that is not enough, I would suggest using a 2 mil zip lock bag.

I've used the bottom half of a dress sock in place of the plastic bag on several Don Hume holsters with good results. Just cut the sock in two, right at the heel, put the gun in it and holster it. Wait a couple of days check the fit.

Beats using it to dress up too. :D

I sometimes wrap the gun in plastic wrap and then insert it into a sandwich bag, 3-4 hours later and things are just right.
