I was wondering - I have a 700 Mountain DM, and is there anybody who sells a magazine for this rifle (and 700 DMs in general) that holds more than 4 rounds?

Aha. Now I see some pages about it. You wouldn't believe how many results you get on Google when you search for "high capacity Remington 700 magazine" :).

You're right! I don't belive it! I get NO results when searching for that quoted phrase! :)

I know the Accuracy International AICS chassis system for the Rem 700s lets you use AI mags. 10 rounders I belive.

Frankly, I'm of the opinion that ANY rifle that uses detachable box mags should have capacities of 5 and 10 rounds (larger capacaties should be available, too, if legal), regardless of caliber. It's just convenient, and with 10 rounders and a bolt gun you could easily get by with just two, and wouldn't have to be constantly thumbing rounds into mags at the range.

Hollywood has done it...

There is an old thriller Two Minute Warning IIRC, that had a home made hi-cap magazine for either a Remington bolt gun or semiauto..it's been a long time since I saw the film, but it was obviously cobbled together.

Happened to catch the scene from Anaconda today where J-Lo shoots the snake four times with a bolt action without working the bolt. I want one
