I guess I'm going to go with the Supernova Tactical. The 870 Police mag is just out of my price range. I just need to know how good are the ghost ring sights on the SN ? Are they plastic or metal and do they break easily?
Are those your only options? There's a Norinco 870 clone that has ghost ring sights, isn't there? There's not a lot of info in your post so I'm assuming you hashed this out in another thread.
It was between the remington 870 police mag and supernova and I like the remington but they cost to much. I like the supernovas and I like what you get for the money (more bang for the buck). I already had a mossberg but when I first got it it was put together wrong and I had to get it fixed before I could shoot it. It came that way from the factory to the distributor to the gun store. It was also all nicked up on the safety. So I don't want another mossberg right now.
The GR sights on the Supernova are of high quality.
In terms of the Remington 870P...I too desire one of these. However, from what I gather, they are not perfect and according to some, may be a bit overrated. Still, it seems like a good shotgun.
Anyway, the Benelli SN is a solid choice; One of the best buys for the money (initially speaking), IMHO.
As a side note- It is unfortunate you had such an experience with Mossberg. Generally speaking, they are usually fine weapons.
