I know this was an option on these CG63 match rifles from Carl Gustaf. I’m curious if any of you know what the bedding material is made of, or why there is the unique pattern of action inletting for the bedding. Insights are appreciated.

I truly regret not grabbing one of these when they were available.
Well, they weren't that cheap when I first saw them. I had to pay $89 for an early '96 Mauser rifle, and $79 for an M38 short rifle, both in excellent condition. The surplus Norma ammo was dear too, $4 a box. Thieves! lol

I wonder what the dealer who sold those thinks about it now? Probably the same as the dealer selling the $79 brand new Norinco SKS's.

Awesome rifle dude! I've never seen anything like this before. This may be the original prototype for the rifle chassis.

I do know that the Swedes took their rifle stocks seriously. I read somewhere that the use of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) to treat green wood developed from a Swedish project to stabilize rifle stock forends -- they later used PEG to preserve the wooden ship Vasa.
