Switching out carry handle on CMP AR-15

Need some advise guys. Bushmaster CMP AR-15 I only want an AR to shoot coyotes with an don't intend to shoot matches with it. Would changing out the upper to a flat top kill the value of the rifle or would I be money ahead to just trade it for a flat top.

No inherent collectors value to an AR. It'll probably be worth more with a flattop upper. Just sell the A2 upper and buy a flattop.

I'd sell it as a CMP rifle. They cost more than your average flattop.

Just sell the upper and use theproceeds to buy a varminter upper,the DCM uppers are a lot harder to find and easier to sell than many of the mall ninja uppers.


Edit: If you are thinking about selling a DCM upper, I might be interested in buying one

That is what I was thinking Ski,
I am taking it on trade it is new in the box. Were I shopping it would not be my first choice. I think I will just get a flat top upper and take the lead out of the buttstock when hunting. I suspect a 13lb AR would get tiresome toting all day.
