I did a quick search and the last threads about sending care packages were in GGD, so I figure this'd be a reasonable place to post another.
This is especially for SWVA, esp. Christiansburg, Blacksburg, or otherwise closeby THRers, but if you're elsewhere and can get stuff in before the deadline, that'd rock, too.
Earlier today, my RA came by and told me that since someone in our dorm has family getting shipped off to the sandbox soon, this dorm and another are getting together to send care package(s) over there to give our lads and lasses a more comfortable stay in the dusty place.
She gave me a little paper which lists the following as suggested items:
DONATIONS DUE BY SUNDAY, MARCH 26
Remember: THE DEADLINE IS SUNDAY MARCH 26 for stuff for the package(s). And I'm sure we'd be glad to take other useful items beyond the (limited, and occasionally silly) ones listed above. Advice on better/different items is welcome.
Anyone who'd like to send/bring stuff, a PM or IM is the best way to get contact/shipping information from me.
