Are there aftermarket synthetic stocks for the Marlin 336 .30-30 and 1894 .357 magnum lever action rifles? If yes, where can they be bought? Finally, are they easy to install without gunsmithing?

I want more durable stocks than wood--which dent too easily.

Ramline also makes synthetic for leverguns. Check Graf's and sometimes for sale om EBay.

The Wildwest are available from Brownell's and are fairly expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Anyone have links to specific products? I cannot find the stocks on the websites above--do you have a direct URL to the product.

Which synthetic stocks are good or better quality? Which to avoid?

There are caveats to using the WWG and Ramline Stocks.....

The WWG stocks only fit Marlin rifle that use a handguard cap, like the 336A, 444, 1895 etc. The stock is fiberglass, and from my phone conversation from WWG the stock and forend will require fitting, and painting.

The ramline stock fits 30-30 rifles with the forearm band. This stock requires no fitting to install.

I don't know if there are any after market stock for the 1894.
