I bought a taurus 24/7 in 45 acp last week at the greensboro N.C. gun show. It has the blue slide (wanted the stainless but the blue was alot cheaper). I paid $335. I like this pistol a lot. Finally a double stack 45 acp that I can hold ( I have fairly small hands). The grip is very nice. the trigger is a little long but light and smooth. I shoot a lot of revolvers and this trigger is lighter than most of my revolvers even after trigger jobs. The sights are larger and very visible. The gun points very well for me. The gun is accurate and recoil is not bad. I like the fact that it has a safety that you can use if you want but is not nessary if you do not want to. The safety is positive and is not easily moved by accident. It feel alot like a 1911 safety. I have shot 250 round through it without any failure of any kind. I have many handguns including a sig 228 and a beretta 92f and the taurus has a better double action trigger. 12 rounds of 45 acp is hard to beat. So far I am really happy with this gun. After a few more rounds I am going to put a light on the gun and use it as my house gun.

ssteven1,

Thanks for the review. I have been wanting to hear something on this gun. I hane a PT-145 and have been looking at this gun as it's big brother.

Caution; I have seen both the .40 and .45 version with slides jammed all the way back from stiff factory loads. They broke free and no damage was visible, but that'd be a heck of a thing to have happen in a gunfight
