Hey guys, I think I'm about to trade my Taurus 24/7 Pro DS in on the FNP-9 model. I'm hoping it fits my hand better- the Taurus was my first handgun and I always found it hard to grip well, and felt like it kicked back into my hand strangely and made it sore. I've started shooting my friends USP .45 and I can shoot it all day comfortably, and the reason seems to be the larger grip. My handgun is used primarily as a 'night stand' gun, a car/hotel type gun on long trips, a range gun, and a hiking/backpacking gun.
Anyway, would you consider going from the 24/7 Pro DS to the FNP-9 to be a vertical move (as opposed to a horizontal one, not really gaining a better weapon in other words)? Or am I staying around the same level of quality by making this move? I've got about $600 to spend and the FNP-9 has been my favorite so far after a lot of research and message board talk/reading.
Thanks!
