Have the "wants" for a .32 revolver that is Ok with more than .32 long.
Really like DA 32 mag Smiths but they are few and really spendy...
Have been cautioned Taurus has a super tough DA trigger and there have been quality issues.
Been eyeing the 327 in stainless...can't seem to find much about its weight..
Will largely use H&R level Handloads with heavy for caliber cast bullets.
Whatcha think about Taurus snubbies?

It's what I'm currently carrying.

I like the 327. Even bought a Contender barrel to play with the round. Have a GP-100 as well as the Taurus, I carry the Taurus because between its weight and the round, it doesn't bother my hands/wrists nearly as much as my S&W 642 in 38 +P did. (I'm old and decrepit)

The Taurus initially had an issue - the chambers were pretty rough, to the point that factory ammo was a PITA to extract. Back to the factory (actually US based service center) for chamber polishing, back in hand in 10 days. No more extraction issues, it shoots where I point it, and it rides fine in a Galco OWB on a Beltman.

The Ruger is even nicer to shoot, but a good deal beefier on the belt...

Wouldn't call myself a Taurus fan-boy, but it does work for me. YMMV.

I've owned 11 Taurus guns and none of them had a rough or heavy trigger.

Got a few Taurus snubs. Two of 'em 327 in SS. Triggers are on the heavy side in double action. Finish is a bit on the rough side as well. I had picked them up back when they were at fire sale prices - around $225. The great thing about 327 revolvers is that you can shoot 32 S&W, 32 S&W L, 32 H&R Mag, 327 Mag, & even 32 ACP if necessary.

No quality issues with any of my dozen or so Taurus revolvers through the years. They are definitely not in the same league as a Smith or Ruger, but for the money, their revolvers go bang every time.

Wife and I would occasionally carried a Taurus M327. Awesome little revolver and the only firearm I wish I hadn't sold. If I remember correctly it weighed in right at 26 ounces. Trigger pull wasn't too bad, DA was in the 8 or 9 range. A guess since I don't have a trigger pull scale.

Got two of the Taurus 327s and have them in the CCW battery rotation.
http://www.tuffproducts.com/home.php?cat=265 Six rounds in a compact package helps.

QuickStrips are made for them for carrying extra ammo. That and www.hksspeedloaders.com makes speedloaders for them.

I use mine as carry for CCW but these also compliment my Ruger SP-101 and Ruger GP-100 in that caliber.

I love the versatility of the .32 calibers.
The 85gr. Federal rounds in .327 Federal are the most powerful rounds I shoot out of my Taurus 327s.

www.buffalobore.com makes a .32 H&R magnum, +P (yes, SAAMI has no +P rating for this cartridge) version that gets the H&R magnum up off its knees.

That's what I carry in my Taurus 327s.
HEAVY 32 H&R MAG. +P Ammo - 100 gr. JHP (1300fps) - 20 Round Box

PRESS RELEASE FOR BUFFALO BORE 32 H&R MAGNUM+P AMMUNITION (Item 36A)

Due to customer request Buffalo Bore is producing some new 32 H&R Mag. +P loads. Item # 36A is a 100gr. JHP at some very potent velocities. Below are real world velocities shot from stock over-the-counter, revolvers.
1.1366 fps - USFA Sparrow Hawk 7.5 inch barrel
2.1340 fps - Ruger Black Hawk 5.5 inch barrel
3.1187 fps - Ruger SP101 3 inch barrel
4.1054 fps - Taurus Ultra Light 2 inch barrel

This ammunition is full powered 32 H&R mag. and is safe to use in all firearms chambered for 32 H&R mag. and 327 Federal Mag., EXCEPT the original H&R revolvers, that as of this date, (04-21-11) have long been out of production.

This ammunition performed flawlessly out of all the above test guns, except that we had to polish the tool marks out of the Taurus chambers to have smooth extraction of fired cases. None of the other test guns had extreme tool marks in the chambers.

This ammunition utilizes flash suppressed powders so as to not blind the shooter in low light situations.

Because of the increased velocity of this load over the standard 32 H&R loads, it is powerful enough to have human defense applications, but is mostly a small game (rabbits, armadillos, coyotes, etc.) and utility/plinking load.

I use the .327 Federal magnum revolvers in the warm months more so than during winter. That is subject to change.
