Taurus 45/410...

Call me crazy..but I want one of these babies....I got the new Taurus catalog and I want the 3" 45LC/410 Ga revolver.anybody got one yet?I think it would make a pretty good Home Defense gun..410 buckshot would get someone's attention....it's a 5 shot.Now if I can find a speedloader......

I checked one out at a gun show. I considered buying but didn't. I was concerned that the velocity would be really low and the accuracy would be poor with 45lc. If anyone can tell me otherwise I will probably buy one

I LOVE IT

I have the 3" blued version (would sell it to get the SS). I love it. The only thing I don't like is when I am at the range firing 410's everyone wants to come see what I am firing. Oh well, one day I'll have my own outdoor range.
It is accurate with 000 buck, slugs and .45 colts (3 brands of .45 so far).
000buck at 7 yards gave me a "group" of 4-6 inches. That is a 3 round group of approx .38 cal projectiles in one shot. This thing is not designed as a sniper weapon and does its job VERY well. It can make a heck of a mess at "across the room" distances.
Recoil is mild even with 410 slugs. It has a very pleasing boom. Workmanship is very good. I did have a little trouble with some of the 000 bucks I bought. The end was a little too large and the round did not fall down into the can as it should. It is a ammo problem though, not a gun prob.
I am pleased with mine and would love to have the stainless version. They seem to be a little harder to find than the blued version.

I have the stainless version with the (relatively) uncommon 4" barrel length. The thing that has amazed me the most about this fun little beast is that it shoots the .45 LC's so accurately (1-2" five-round groups with factory lead bullet ammo at 25 yds off sandbags). The .410 shotshells are fun, too, and they pattern 10 times better than any .44 or .357 shotshell.

I have also had problems with the buckshot rounds (Golden Bear with steel cases) because they are too wide at the base to fit into the cylinder. I will probably handload some 000 buckshot rounds in plastic hulls.

I haven't tried any slugs out of mine, yet.

The problem I was having was with the business end of the shell. It would fall in just fine until the tip of the shell reached the lip where .45 colts stop. I would have to push it in the rest of the way. The slugs I have fall in just fine. I have only tried the one kind of 000 buck.

I have been procrastinating for a year now. I'm going to buy one. Probably will get the long barrel though if I can find one.

About having trouble with the shot shells seating. Make sure your not using shells longer than 2 1/2 inch. It was designed for 2 1/2 inch max. I had the same problem when I got mine. Re-read the manual and found my mistake.

I think that 2 3/4 inch might fit if you could find any. That is my only complaint about the gun is that they should have made the can shorter (to save on overall length) or longer (for 3"). I would love for it to be 1/4" shorter since I carry mine regularly. Belly Bands Rock.
The ads I saw said that it was a 3 1/8" can but it won't even think about chambering a 3" shell.
Someone said that it will chamber 45/40's as well. This is very interesting to me. Has anyone else heard this to be true? If so, I'll try it and tell you what happens.

22 rimfire, I saw three 6 inchers at the last show I went to.
