The Taurus 94 is listed as using a maximum load of 40 gr @ 1280 fps. The Aguila SSS is listed as 60 gr @ 950 fps. Too big inone rating, but not the other. Does anyone know if these bullets will work in the model 94? If so, will it shorten barrel life? Thanks
:what:

SSS is safe in any gun rated for 22LR. The long heavy bullet needs a faster twist to stabilize and I plan to eventually get a rifle built around it. Only handgun I've personally seen to shoot them without keyholing was a S&W 22A which I made a nice little 1" 25 yard group with, just that POI was off of POA by about 6".

I’ve shot the Aguila SSS from my Taurus 94 snub and they are as loud as a conventional .22lr. They need to be shot from a rifle to get the noise reduction. However they work just fine.

I've fired them from my Remington 514 and they are very accurate. I get 1 inch groups consistantly with them. They also hit very hard considering the knock down ability they have on small Utah Desert Critters.

I also tried some other Aquila loads... All of them were very consistant. None of them were freaky in my old rifle. Just good stuff.

I've asked my Gun Fairy for a Buckmark and if I get one, I'll be shooting the SSS ammo through it as my dedicated varmit medicine.
