I was at the Fort Worth Cabela's yesterday and saw a display case full of used Taurus .38 and .357 revolvers. Most were model 82's--fixed sights, 4" barrel, blue steel. Most were priced at $149, some as low as $99, a couple of nickel-plated and super nice ones were $199.
The .357's were models 65 and 66, priced at $199 and $299 (not many of them, though, and they were going fast; I bought one).
There were also some used S&W Model 10's, priced at $199.
An employee told me they're all from a security company in California. The examples I looked at had a lot of holster wear and needed a good cleaning, but locked up tight and didn't look like they'd been fired much.
Check 'em out.
