cant get alot of help elsewhere so here goes.

whats better in the hunting field, the model 66 or the model 65 or the taurus judge/ i know some people have used judges as backups when hunting, but id like to get info on more then woodchuckor squirrel.

I'll take a stab at this one -

I think for an overall hunting/field gun you are better off with the 66 or 65 . The Judge is not all that effective with shot loads, giving poor patterns and effective range is very limited. Shooting it with .45 Long Colt is OK for what you might want that caliber for, but here again they are far from the best .45 Colt , giving moderate accuracy and therefore limiting the range for good shot placement. Not to mention that the ammo is presently hard to find and costly . So - there is an opinion of one .

A 66 because the adjustable sights will allow you to be on target at your desired range with your chosen 357 load. The 65 is a fixed sighted gun on the same frame as the 66.
I think the Judge is a gimmick, but obviously there are a lot of people who have taken to them. The accuracy I have seen from them, you better be able to sneak better than Davy Crockett, a lot better even, if you plan to hunt with it.
