Texas Chrome Heroes Foundation rifle build.

You've definately been through alot for your age. You look like a kind, humble old man at this point, kinda like a wizard.
I’ve always tried to live my life to the fullest, which upon several occasions brought me close to death. I’ve known several people that the fear of death has kept them from living. Find an old man in perfect health and without scars, and I’ll show you a man that has never truly lived.
I’ve always liked gun. Not only as toys, but as tools also. I’ve lived most of my adult life with a gun in my hand, or on my side.
Retirement in December of 2020 started a new chapter in my life. I no longer have to carry a gun every day. I now do my best to be humble and kind to others, but I still have a plan to kill everyone I meet.🤣

Yes, spread your wisdom you great wizard

Well, yesterday was the cook off with over 70 teams competing. The team I was with took 8th overall.
One of the cooks in training, on our team was Country music singer, Glen Templeton.

Before the awards were given out, they had the Foundation auction.
Just before my rifle went up, they had me come up to the front and introduced me to the crowd. They gave them some background on me, about my service to our country and also being a retired police officer.
Since I can’t talk good anymore they read one of my writings, Take My Hand Brother.

Take my hand Brother

Some of us are better at keeping the darkness at bay. Some of us have stopped searching for what we have lost. Some of us have come to terms with the in actions we did in the service of our country.

For those that are still fighting the Monster within, just reach out and take the hand from one of us that knows where you are, and where you’ve been.

Please, take my hand brother.

I have never liked being the center of attention or being in the spotlight. They kind of snuck that one in on me.
But it set the tone for the auction, which was to raise money to help veterans suffering from PTSD.
The bids started getting higher and when my rifle came up, it sold for $3000.
Another AR rifle that was donated by Icey Tek went for $2400.
I also donated a nice large maple bowl and two cigar ashtrays, that I made. They sold for $300.
All together the auction brought in $130,000. They said that was the most they have ever made at one of their auctions.
