The other day, I purchased an FEG PA-63 (a 'makarov' PPK clone for those who don't know). Anyway, as I was looking over the gun, I noted the CAI import markings on the barrel and got to thinking about how those were required by the GCA of '68. All handguns had to be sporting- which is why mine has the comfy ergo-grip and had to be 'imported' through a distributer. Then I got to thinking:
"How much less would our imported guns cost if we didn't have to go through a distributer or could order them direct?"
well folks, what say all of you?
Some examples to compare:
Century Yugo: ~$500
Walther (S&W) PPK: ~$450
what would these be if we didn't have to remark and 'sporterize' them? How much less would they be if we cut out the middle man?
