Bursa Thunder .380 DA/SA semi-auto (Duo-tone).

Stock sights are 3-dot with adjustable rear sight. Sells for about $200.00 in most stores (when you can find it) but comes with only one magazine. The first thing I did was buy a spare mag ($30.00). Magazine holds 7 rounds.

Well, as a big-time Glock fan I'm amazed at how much I like this gun.

I've had it to the range two times now, and shot a total of 200 rounds so far.

I was swapping back-and-forth between Winchester white box, S&B, and American eagle range ammo. All performed the same. I paid close attention to what I was using, but while firing I really couldn't tell any difference. (for defensive ammo I'll probably use CCI-Speer Gold Dot, but I haven't tried it in this gun yet).

I didn't have a single misfeed or failure to fire.

The trigger on this gun is just great. Even the first DA pull is surprisingly smooth and not too long of a draw (as opposed to, say, my Kel-Tec P32 which has an excruciatingly long trigger pull).

After the first 50 rounds and a bit of rear-sight adjustment I never had a shot outside of a 6-inch circle shooting at 15 yards (using my approximation of the "modern isoceles" stance).

It has a slim profile and would make a good concealment gun (which is what I want it for) except that it's so darn pretty you'll want to take it out and show it to everybody.

I love this gun! :D I still haven't picked a holster, though.

Regards,
ChickenHawk

I have the same findings as chickenhawk, and i've had mine for 3 months. Awesome gun. Now 3 of my friends want one and a dealer i know was so impressed with mine he started stocking.

Note to Chickenhawk:

I use CorBon as defensive ammo in mine. works well.

for a holster, i recommend the FIST K4 tuckable. Unfortunately there isn't much of a selection as far as holsters go because it won't fit a walther holster due to the shape of the trigger guard. I like the fist, it's an IWB holster with a j-hook. What makes it neat is that you can tuck your outer shirt inbetween the j-hook and the holster making it practically invisible with a tucked in shirt. cost me around $60-70 with my options and shipping. buy from www.gunnersalley.com

I bought a Fire Storm yesterday. The differece between this gun and the Thunder is the rear sight is a "u" design and the grips are grooved for your fingers. The trigger guard is different. Because of this difference, the Fire Storm will fit into a Thunder fitted holster ( Fobus), but not the other way around.

I'm new here. Once I figure out how this pic instaliation works, i'll post one.

Me too

I also have the Firestorm .380, instead of the Bersa. I have been told that due to the difference in the shape of the trigger guard, that the Firestorm will fit in a Walther holster better than a Bersa will.

Haven't tried to verify that yet though.

That sounds reasonable, since the Bersa Thunder .380's trigger guard is squared off (more like a Glock) and serrated so it can be held by the left hand index finger.

The Walther trigger guard looks a lot more like the pic in clubsoda22's post.

Cheers,
ChickenHawk

firestorm will fir a walther holster, bersa won't. I don't care, the holster i have for my bersa is a FIST K4, which is a custom job. Well worth the $60. If you are lucky enough be right handed there are some mass produced paddle holsters for it, but they're not as nice as the fist

Thx for the thread link Chicken . it is well nigh impossible to catch all new threads there is so much traffic.

Well .. sounds every bit as good as I hoped you'd find it. Really quite a remarkable piece IMO. I changed the paint spots on mine ... using the ''Bright Sights'' paint . applied with toothpick. Green on rear and yellow on front .. makes it a tad better.

I have two rigs so far to use .. one is the ''Ankle Pocket'' which I wrote up about ( http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?threadid=50741 ) and also got me a ''Houston'' RP1 Kydex paddle. This is good for it - only prob being unless you cant the gun in to body a tad, the trigger guard can hang up a bit in the holster.

I also have a coupla Uncle Mikes pocket holsters, one of which should do but ... Thunder a tad large IMO for easy pocket carry.

Glad ya like it dude!:)

There is some great and cheap .380 ammo out right now. I am enjoying Russian, Spanish and German - military surplus in my .380s and did I mention CHEAP!

I love my .380s and PA63s and Makarovs and now my Keltec 3AT is added to the mix...

Ammolab.com has done a lot of ammo testing as well as GoldenLoki.com and from what I've learned, although I have a case and a half of the Speer-Lawman GDHP -- I think that FMJ is most likely the sensible choice for Personal Defense as the speed of the bullet from a short tube does not always open the HP and when it does, the penetration is shortened up toooo much. Just a thought, not a sermon. ;)
