The front of my P7M8 seems to be magnetic. (See pic)

The whole front end of the slide, but no other part seems to be. Are they all like that?

Any time you rub two pieces of metal together you can get some magnetism.

I imagine thats just a sign that you have a good tight slide to barell fit :)

The other day I was eating at a resturant and I found that my knife and fork where magnetic ... enough so that I could lift the fork with the knife ... my wife was not amused.

:scrutiny: There's a joke there somewhere, I just can't put my finger on it! But no, I don't think that's a standard feature on the P7M8 ;)

Ack!

Thanks jason10mm... now where's the darn windex.

10-ring is right though, there is definitely a joke there, somewhere.

Of course now when I get home I’m going to have to check all my autos and see if any of them need to be degaussed.

i've noticed that the slides on my steyr m9 and m40 are magnetized, but they push against each other slightly. i can feel it when i am putting the slide back on the frame. at one part the slide wants to stick to the frame, but move it up a bit and the polarity changes.

Just checked my PSP, M8 & M13 none of them are magnetized.
