was tooling down the e-way in the left lane at 75 mph. (Good way to keep the speeders in control and still give a little slack)
when to his amazement a mini van passed him on the right! Now that would have been odd in its own right except the driver, a perky young lady, was knitting as she passed him by.
Well, the Sheriff being a good steward of the traffic laws and concerned about the safety and welfare of the sheeple on said e- way accelerated and pulled abreast (now now now....) of the young lady's car, turned on his multicolored lighted flasher bar, gave a couple of bips on the warbler, rolled down the passenger window of his patrol car, waived his right arm and shouted.....pull over...pull over...pull over.
The young lady rolled down her window, looked at the Sheriff, raised up her knitting, smiled and shouted......Afghan...Afghan.
