Lee, You're most likely correct. Using Amazon's "Look Inside" feature, I read the first couple of pages of the book. It was off to a strong start.

My copy of Brister got loaned out, I can only hope it's helping more folks learn.

Add to the list,"Breaking Clays" by Chris Batha. It covers mostly sporting clays, but has something for everyone.

kudu, don't let anyone talk you out of "grouse feathers". if it was published by "derry dale" press it's priceless. i bought a reprint of "grouse feathers and "more grouse feathers" in the mid 70's, signed by "Burton spiller" #475. i've been offered the price of a nice shotgun for them. there were only 750 signed copies sold. buy a plastic cover and preserve the dust cover.

by the way, add frank woolner's "grouse and grouse hunting" to that list! many of the titles are out of print, so i haunt the garage sales.

help identifying spanish sxs

hell all, great site.......been lurking here awhile. I picked up a used 12 ga sxs spanish mfgr'r JM Urriola Sarasqueta elbar........anyone ever heard of this before.......It has case colored receiver with some minimal engraving (2 grouse on the sides) gold plated double triggers, mod & cyl fixed chokes, barrels are 27-1/2 inches long. any info will help...i believe its a boxlock action with lips on the outside edges of the receiver that mate to the barrel.

thanks,
