The SIG p232... worth it?

I got a 232 stainless that has been a great pistol. It hasn't jammed on me yet with the exception of some starfires that I bought. It doesn't like those for some reason. It cycled most of the starfires but hung up on chambering twice. I tapped the back of the slide and it went into battery. I had been told that they don't cycle jhp reliably prior to me buying it, but other than the starfires it doesn't jam. Not sure if it would jam after 200 rds, as I usually shoot 100 to 150rds, but to be fair my P7M8 will jam when you shoot it a lot and it gets dirty. I can tell you this though. I carry my pistol, then when I go to the range I don't clean any of the lint or whatever builds up and shoot my carry load. It always cycles.

Lots of people love the p232. Of all the handguns in my collection, the p232 is the one about which I am most conflicted. I dislike some things about it as much as I like other things.

On the positive side, it is a very nice looking gun. It conceals exceptionally well due to its flat profile. Mine is utterly reliable. Prior poster's observation about failures to feed when dirty is not my experience. Who really allows a carry gun to get 200 rounds dirty anyway? Seems foolhardy to me, but I digress. The gun has reasonable accuracy for defensive applications. Recoil is snappy but I would not describe it as unpleasant. Double action trigger pull is reasonable. The gun disassembles very easily.

Now for what I don't like. Grip ergonomics are all wrong for me. The grip does not feel natural for me. When gripping the gun like I want to grip it, I get slide bite. Slide bite is not so severe, just enough to be annoying. To avoid slide bite I have to think "grip low." I don't want a carry gun I have to think about when putting into use. When I grip low, the gun feels awkward. I don't like the curved trigger. With repeated firing, my finger rides to the bottom of the trigger and scrapes on the trigger guard. I find cleaning somewhat a bother because of the very small internals.

Lastly, and not really a criticism of this pistol, I have learned I dislike transitoning from double action to single action. Magazine release location is a non-issue for me.

I can't bring myself to let go of this pistol. I can't bring myself to like it.
