EFE2B4BD-A7B1-42B3-8AB2-9E7D81DE8B24.jpeg I had a “Whole Enchilada” sling sent to me through one of the various pay it forward threads we used to have running. I love it and use it a lot. It is a discontinued product though and I don’t know of anything similar. It’s a blessing to have for hard hikes in tough terrain as it firmly secures the rifles and leaves hands free to gripping things needed to climb or steady yourself. It would also be awesome for times when dragging a game animal from the field as it leaves both hands open for gripping a drag rope.

The sling is a bit odd in its design which is likely why it is discontinued. It’s a wraparound butt cuff attached to a woven nylon strap roughly 3 inches by 18 inches. At the other end of the heavy strap there is a Velcro loop to go around the gun. For my AR10 it lands just in front of my red dot and works very well there. Attached to the big piece are 2 thin shoulder straps that are adjustable and can be used on one shoulder as a normal sling or split to use as a backpack type setup which secures the gun along the spine. There is also a waist belt that can be used for further securing the gun, but I have never found that waist belt to be particularly useful. In fact I don’t use it because it makes it very difficult to get the gun ready to fire if you ever needed a quick shot at a passing animal or one who may think you look like dinner.

Does anybody know of anything similar that is on the market currently? Anything more recent that fits the same basic role and does so in similar fashion? It’s what is being used in this pic which is the only pic I know of where I am using it. I need a better pic of the sling.
