I see quite a few threads asking about how to obtain a C&R license and what benefits it provides, etc. But there should be a stern warning regarding the abuse of the C&R issued to anyone contemplating one. You might go hog wild.

Pictured are the acquisitions I made over the summer with my C&R. These are just the S&Ws, mind you. Some are going to the range tomorrow as I haven't gone since spring and I have a large number of unfired guns. Horrors!

In back from left to right are a 1954 Highway Patrolman and a pair of 1950 Target Models.

In front are a Triple Lock and a 1951 Combat Masterpiece (note the transitional hammer).

Hey man,

Don't hold us accountable if you can't figure out what kind of crack C&R firearms can become. We're too busy getting our fix to worry about you. :cuss:

I too failed the heed the warnings...

You know you're in bad shape when the safe is full and the bedroom smells like cosmoline from all the milsurps you've got stuffed under your bed!

My G/F keeps joking about changing her perfume to Cordite or Hoppes #9. She said there seems to be a corellation (sp?) between a day practicing shooting animals and acting like one at night. ;)

Anyone else notice something like this in their relationships?

BTW, I seem to have run out of room in my safes. Do you think there's a company out there that has bulk discounts??? ;)

Where do you all get your C&R handguns? Can anyone recommend an online retailer? I got my C&R in the spring and haven't used it yet.

C&R Crack of the gun world

Berek +1, ROTFLMAO

Really it doesn't even take a C&R to act like a crack addict, just browse through the WTS section here on THR and you can drop A LOT of coin...been a member less than a year and have bought and sold a good bit (bought more than sold!)

Ive had a girl ask me what i was wearing one day, cause she swears its was the same thing her grandfather wore all the time, and she loved the smell..... that smell was hoppies 9...

EddieCoyle- Try GunBroker.com or AuctionArms.com or GunsAmerica.com. Most gun-related Internet discussion forums (Smith-WessonForum.com, TheFiringLine.com, GunBroker.com, etc) also have classifieds you can peruse.

My wife once commented that for the first three years she knew me she thought Hoppes #9 was my personal fragrance.
