Thinking of selling 2 revolvers

I would look into all factors before deciding on how accurate a gun is unless you are Jerry Miculek. If I have put in a full shift at work, walked the dog a couple miles a day hit the gym my accuracy can easily be 20%+ less accurate then when I am more rested. I have seen studies showing that eating large amounts of carbohydrates can diminish eye sight short term even for healthy people. Many things come into play besides just guns and ammo. But I am not a good person ask about selling a gun as I bought a second safe so I didn't have to

You might want to try different loads before you judge. Something that the gun was designed for.

The Model 10, for example, might just like a standard (light) .38 special, Maybe a 158 gr. LRN with the "vintage" charge. Same for the DS.

The 19 was designed to occasionally handle magnum loads, so it's no surprised to me that it shot better for you with those heavies.

I shot my Ruger SP-101 this weekend, and it didn't like the factory Remington ammo, regular 38 Special with 158 gr. LRN, but I recall it shooting a lot better before.

I did shoot 148 grain wadcutters through the Model 10 and DS. It's supposed like the lightest recoiling .38 special you can get but I didn't really notice a difference between that and 158 grain FMJ. Right now, I'm thinking of keeping the Model 10 and selling the DS.

So I'm back from the range again. I went to a new range that's outdoors, the previous range I've been to was indoors but was poorly lit and has no markings for target distance. The outdoor range I used was at 7 yards and I shot my 4 revolvers all with Federal 158 grain LRN. First, I enjoy shooting outdoors more than indoors. Second I did much better with the Model 10 this time around, the Model 15 4" and my Model 19 2.5" with some Pachmayr Compac grips were good too, but I do need to adjust the sights on them.
But I have officially decided to sell the Colt Detective Special. Even at 7 yards it was all over the place compared to the other revolvers. It's just not worth keeping. I'm going to clean it up then post it for sale on the Trading Post and Gunbroker.
