I shoot Mossberg 500/590a1 pump shotguns exclusively. I've been thinking of getting a few more Mossberg 500s to keep permanently in the trunk of my cars. Recently I noticed you can now get a 20" barreled 7+1 capacity Mossberg 500. I know you loose the ability to interchange barrels and fully loaded it will be heavier. Since these are dedicated as solely emergency and travel firearms, I don't mind those limitations.
Is there anything else you can think of where there is a down side to this configuration? I already have other Mossberbgs for clays, hunting and home defense. Many thanks.
