My wife decided I needed a Trius 1 step trap thrower for this weekend (after much hounding by sm ), so she asked my son, Jimmy, to pick one up at Sportsmans Warehouse on his way from Denver a couple days ago.
My grandson Tyler, who just turned four was full of questions as usual:
Tyler: "What is this for?"
Jimmy: "It throws clay birds for grandpa to shoot at."
Tyler only heard these words: "Machine...throws...birds"
Tyler couldn't wait until we got the thrower unpacked, he wanted to play with it.
"Can I throw a bird? There's one."
Jimmy finally showed Tyler a clay pigeon, and Tyler was disgusted. "That's not a bird. I wanna throw a bird."
Be careful how you phrase answers to these kids.
