i got this one as a basket case. It had ftf issues. (I can't remember the forum I picked it up on, so if here-works well now= well spent 200$?)

At some point a new front sight was added

Kicking around in my parts I found a few peep sights. Drill holes already there.

I don't mind the finish issues. It is nice to have a 22 that u don't mind getting kicked around. I am just on the hunt for a buttplate. Or maybe I will fab something up

I bought one three years ago for $179.
It is a M39D, 20" bbl, no white spacers.
Had scope rail, no iron sights. Replaced front dovetail with Williams 1/16" x .412" bead, rear with folding leaf sight from discarded Ruger 10/22 barrel.
Removed scope rail and installed Williams Sourdough receiver sight with a 1/2" x 0.050 aperture. Carried it with me the last time I squirrel hunted.
It's not as accurate as my CZ452 American, (not much is!), but I do enjoy carrying and shooting it. My blue and wood are a bit better than yours too..
Gotta love those old Marlins!

Guys,
You need to find a priest for confession for buying those two grand old guns for $200 and $179, respectively. You stole them... :)

Plastikosmd, I think you have a rare 39M there. Nice find, to say the least.

Looks like it was used in the Bayou by one of those TV gator hunters but hey for $200, I'd have bought it in a flash!
