Today I went to my local gunshop and came across something I was beginning to think was only found by other people - - never me:
A NIB deep blue S&W 13-2 (.357 Magnum, pinned and recessed); and a LNIB brushed SS 65-2 (.357 Magnum, pinned and recessed), complete with the original boxes, original (factory numbered) grips, and all original paperwork right down to the anti-rust wrapping paper!!!
The SCoSW says these were born in 1979.
Best part was the prices: the 13-2 was $339 and the 65-2 was $349 (+ tx). He also threw in 3 boxes of .357 Magnum - 1 box of CCI Lawman and 2 boxes of Remington JHPs worth ~ $50.
There is absolutely no wear or evidence of the 13 ever being fired (the seller said it had never been fired) and the 65 - if it was fired it had to be less than a handfull of rounds, since there is a very little bitty evidence of dark around the forcing cone and the cylinder was perfectly pristine.
OK, experts, have at it - Did I do well?
